Day 32 – Buller day 1
The instructors split us into two groups before we started and it was self seeding as to what group you went into. The really tentative group and the medium / faster group. As with all these things the faster people quickly floated to the front and the slower quickly found their places further back. Sharon was in the medium group and I was up the front with the fast group.
Today seemed to be just a taster and for for us and for the instructors to feel everybody out and observe skill levels We road a lot of track though in the faster group and sampled quite a few of the trails although it was very stop start. The other groups were not that far off what we did but missed a few sections that we did. I did an extra run late in the day down the fast decent and back up the hill to finish the day off.

Top of Corn Hill

Tomorrow it’s supposed to snow and be cold but it’s shuttle day. We get to ride from the top of the mountain to the bottom, about 18km I believe and get driven back up again on the bus. So no or minimal peddling tomorrow and plenty of warm kit.
