Day 31 – Buller
Our idyllic campsite had a rude awakening at 5AM this morning when the local logging contractor started cutting down and stripping pines in the dark. Latter we were woken by the log trucks turning up to be loaded and the machine that loaded one was only a 100M or so from the camper. The sounds echoed down the valley and any hopes of a sleep in were dashed.

Stocked to run plus a red or two
Today was a time wasting day in and around Mansfield. We had a great coffee finally but the food deliver was very slow but a very nice meal. We stocked up with some bevies for the Buller retreat. We arrived at Buller a bit early and had a look around the village and views and a nice day here. We passed Jess and a few of the others and had a chat before we checked in.

Latter we checked in and everybody started arriving and a couple from Tassie one of whom Sharon road with on the Blue Dragon. A lot of other Tassies are on there way from the airport on the bus. Looks like we are well catered for. Lots of riding to come tomorrow. Some of the tracks are still closed due to not being cleared yet.
