Today Sharon and I met coach Adz for the first time in the flesh and another rider Ross to do a recy lap of the Stromlo course or as much of it as we could do. Some sections are still closed till race day with the local track maintenance guys working feverishly all day doing drainage and repairing track sections so the race will go ahead on Saturday with as much of the track open as possible.

We spent a couple of hours wandering around the course trying out lines and discussing the fastest routes around the course. It was a very helpful lap. I convinced Adz to let me do another lap. I think he knew I was going to do it regardless and relented in the end and I promised to do it very easy and I did. Sharon has smiles from ear to ear on the descents and she will be riding them again tomorrow come hell or high water. I will be doing as little as possible conserving all my energies for Saturday.

We can setup our pits tomorrow and do all the prep work like practicing light change overs, chain lube and cleaning. A final shop for those last minute items and bring on Saturday. Forecast for Saturday is 17 and cloudy and Sunday 3-20.
