After all the rain yesterday there was not much hope for testing the trails at Stromlo today. We decided to ride there, on a some what torturous route from the Garmin we managed to intercept Stromlo just above the main start area but the first track we got onto was slushy mud so we retreated back to the fire trail to the main carpark.

Not much better down there either so we rode a couple of trails that were open and left again following the massive bike paths network in Canberra by feel. We eventually made it back to our accommodation in the suburb of Kambah.

Tomorrow we hope to do some more recy laps with coach Adz and a few others doing the 24 checking out the best lines and practicing any difficult features. Some trails will be closed till Friday so I may not get to ride a couple of sections before race day. One worrying thing today was the massive amount of huge roo’s hanging around the course. Hope we do not meet one of them at speed on the weekend!
