The Launceston Paddling Club had an open day on Lake Trevallyn today with all the major suppliers on site with plenty of demo kit to try. Bit windy and cold to start with but it got quite warm as everything finished.

We had a quick 5KM race and then a great lunch put on by Dan and Sally Apls from alps & amici who are club members. Everybody tried every ski available and we even got Sharon in one of the most stable units after much convincing. She struggled in the wind but managed to not have a swim in her first paddle. Might be nicer to try again in more favorable conditions.
