Sharon wins Kellevie 12HR
As written by Adam who coached Sharon for the 12HR
HeroDirt Cycle Coaching with Sharon Locke.
Meet 49 year old (hope thats ok?
😉)Launceston’s Sharon Locke. Usually Sharon is an amazing support crew in long races for her husband, National 24hour Champ Col.
But a while back Sharon decided it was time to smash up a race herself and set some goals for the Hillbilly 12hour on the weekend just gone.
Since that decision was made Sharon’s commitment to training has been unwavering!
Training included plenty of hours in the saddle, uphill time trials, Tasmanian rain events, Tasmanian wind events and ridiculous ergo’s with crazy watts and heart rates.
Despite all this Sharon’s training peaks is always green (except for a few rebel sessions where she goes harder:-)
After 12hours and 57seconds, 12 laps, 130km of single track, Avg HR of 140bpm, 2276 metres vert Sharon became the overall womens winner of the Hillbilly 12hour!
Congratulations on the win Sharon i’m soooooo stoked for you!!

Congratulations young girl Sharon ( 49 !!! )
A great effort, but of course all the training was the greatest effort.
Thanks Paul. Yeah I guess you’re right that was 6 months of training and a lot of hard work. Sitting with my legs up and frozed pees under my very sore knees!! Still worth it though.
